All school supplies are provided through our program. Students will get a book bag as well as a supply box that includes the supplies they will need.
Students are welcome to use their own book bag, however it is not a requirement.
-School begins at 8:20 am.
-Students will be marked tardy after 8:20 am.
-If your child will be absent, please let us know as soon as possible. Send an email to motonattendance@hampton.k12.va.us
-After 5 unexcused absences, you will be asked to participate in a CAP meeting with an attendance team.
-Excused absences: illness/fever or family emergency
-After 10 consecutive unexcused absences your child will be withdrawn.
When dropping off your student please make sure you stay in your car. We will open your back door and get your child out of the car for you. You can hand us the bookbag through the window and we will get your child to class.
For pick up, again please stay in the car. We will help get your child into the car so that the line can continue to move quickly.
If you are walking your child to the front door, please park across Old Buckroe Road and walk accross the street with your student.
If your child needs to be picked up before the end of the school day, they must be picked up in the office before 2:30pm. After 2:30 we will not allow students to be dismissed from classes as we have started getting students ready for dismissal and students are in many different locations around the building.
You must have an ID in order to pick up your child from the main office. Anyone picking up your child must be on the approved pick up list in our database.
We know celebrating birthdays is a big deal when you are 4! We ask that if you plan to send in something for your child's birthday that it be a non food item such as a goodie bag with pencils and stickers vs. candy and food. However, if you do want to send in cupcakes we ask that they be the mini store bought cupcakes. Please make sure to communicate with your child's teacher before sending in items.
